Job Profile

We have exciting opportunities for a Roofing Operative to work in and around the South west area . They must have demonstrable experience in all aspects of roofing from general repairs to full roof renewal. Plus it is key that they can complete a variety of tasks to ensure that repairs/orders can be completed in a single visit.

Reports To

• Senior Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Installing a variety of roofing materials such as tiles, slates, or felt.
• Identifying and rectifying roof damage, including replacing broken tiles, repairing leaks, and sealing joints.
• Conducting regular inspections, cleaning gutters, and removing debris.
• Ensuring safe working practices at all times.
• Operating power tools, ladders, and scaffolding safely.
• Helping to assess roof conditions and estimate materials needed.
• Transporting roofing materials to and from the job site.
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner, explaining work carried out, and addressing any concerns.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople on site.

Requirements & Skills

• Full UK driving licence
• One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience) e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3, City & Guilds, combined with the ability to perform a minimum of 2 other trades to acceptable standards
• Current Health & Safety Training certificates (including, but not limited to, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments)
